A Story Walk combines the joy of reading and the benefits of walking together outdoors. Story Walk is an educational activity that places the pages from a children’s story along a walking route. Story Walks are an innovative and delightful way to promote reading and the outdoors at the same time.
Great Falls Public Library provides new stories for the community to enjoy each month.
The Gibson Park Story Walk starts and ends at the parking area near the bandshell. The stroller-friendly path begins at the statue of Paris Gibson, loops around the duck pond, and ends back at the parking area. It is less than a mile long.
The Gibson Park Story Walk was made possible with funds from the Cross Charitable Foundation, Community Development Block Grant program and generous donations from individuals in the community. Thanks to the Park and Recreation Department for partnering to allow us to provide stories in Gibson Park!
