Early Literacy Programs

The Great Falls Public Library offers 5 early literacy programs a week for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers birth to 5 years and their families and caregivers. Find out more about each program here!

ABCmouse Early Learning Academy

ABCmouse Early Learning Academy offers the most comprehensive online curriculum available for children ages 2–8, with more than 10,000 learning activities in reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, art and music.

After School Programs

The Great Falls Public Library offers a unique program tailored to teens or school-aged children between the ages of 5 to 18 years old after school each weekday throughout the school year. Find out more about each program here!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Raising Readers of Cascade County welcomes you to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! Any child birth to 4 ½ who lives in Cascade County is eligible to will receive a free book in the mail every month until their 5th birthday.

Gibson Park Storywalk

Take a stroll in Gibson Park and discover a reading adventure. Each month the Library displays new picture books for families to read together.

Library Field Trips

Attention teachers and others who serve kids and teens: Contact Youth Services staff to schedule a field trip!

Youth Services staff are available to lead an in-person or virtual library tour, research support field trip, or hands-on craft or STEAM event for your group.

We provide a fun field trip experience free of charge while sharing information with you and your students about the resources and programs we offer to keep reading skills strong this summer. We look forward to hearing from you!
