Tabletop Roleplaying Games are cooperative storytelling experiences where players work together with a “Game Master” to tell a story in a fantasy, sci-fi, realistic, or other genre of fictional setting. Players create their own original characters, and influence the story through their characters’ decisions and their own creative input. The most well known Tabletop Roleplaying Game is Dungeons & Dragons, but we also offer many others, like Kids on Bikes and Pathfinder. Please contact Kids’ Place staff to find out which systems will be offered in each campaign.

Tabletop Roleplaying Games are a fantastic social experience, emphasizing imagination, patience, teamwork, and problem solving, as well as introducing players to a hobby that they can share together.

These games use dice to add elements of luck and chance while promoting mental math skills. They also regularly incorporate elements of logic puzzles and outside-the-box thinking.

Teen Tabletop Gaming is for preteens and teens ages 12 through 18. Players of all experience levels are welcome, and everything needed to play is provided, as well as snacks. ASL interpretation is available upon request.

The Great Falls Public Library hosts three Teen Tabletop Gaming campaigns every year (spring, summer and fall), as well as occasional single day “one-shot” events during the winter.

Campaigns are eight weeks long, and take place on Saturdays, from 3 to 5:30pm, in the Cordingley Room (library basement.)
