The Great Falls Public Library is inviting children, teens and their families to come Celebrate Great Falls Public Schools’ last day and the start of Summer Reading by decorating a free tote bag and getting signed up for the Library’s Summer Reading program. The kick-off party is Friday, June 5 from 12:30 to 3 pm in the Cordingley Room. It is free to attend.

Youth Summer Reading is made possible by Marshall Orthodontics and the Great Falls Public Library Foundation. Library Loot Boxes are made possible by a Keep Kids Reading Grant from the Town Pump Charitable Foundation.

Kids ages birth to 18, or their parents/caregivers, can sign up for the Summer Reading Rewards Program. Teens ages 12 to 18 also are invited to sign up for their free Library Loot Box!

Each Summer Reading box contains three library books individually selected just for you, plus prizes and candy to sweeten your reading.

Pick-up starts June 5, when our Summer Reading Program kicks off. Please see our website calendar for a complete list of our free Summer Reading events for kids, teens, and adults. Even if you sign up after the Kick-off party, you can still receive a Loot Box and you do not need to attend the party.

A Kids’ Place staff member or volunteer will contact you when your Loot Box is ready to pick up at the Circulation Desk. We will make every effort to have your box ready within 2-3 weeks after signing up. Thank you for your patience!
